This camp is an integral part of the "My Life My Future" programme, designed to address critical social issues such as reducing school dropout rates, combating substance abuse, and enhancing overall school attendance and academic performance.
Our girls are actively engaged in a variety of workshops and activities aimed at fostering leadership skills, resilience, and a sense of responsibility. The campaign was strategically divided into two key areas along the coast: Kosi Bay and Banga Neck (KwaDapha). On June 27th, activities kicked off at Tral Fall Primary School, and on June 28th, the campaign continued at KwaDapha Community Resource Hub.
Our learners and staff joined forces with representatives from Umkhanyakude District Municipality, Umhlosinga Development Agency, iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Department of Education, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, EDTEA, UCTO, and Wild Trust. Together, we rolled up our sleeves and participated in a series of clean-up activities aimed at restoring the beauty of our coastline.

Shengeza High Shines at CMC Level Mathematics Olympiad
On 3 September 2024, our Grade 8 learners proudly represented Shengeza High School in the Mathematics Olympiad at the CMC level, which was hosted at Endlondlweni Primary School. The competition was intense, with 15 talented learners from various schools showcasing their mathematical skills. Our learners were accompanied by their mathematics teacher, Mr. PL Ndlovu, who is not only a dedicated educator but also a former learner of Shengeza High School, making the day extra special.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Christian Ntombela achieved an impressive 2nd place, and Zanele Mbule secured 4th place in the Olympiad. Both learners demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, shining brightly among their peers.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work of both our students and teachers, as well as the continued commitment to academic excellence at Shengeza High School. Senzo Masinga and Siblings Give Back to Shengeza High
On 20 September 2024, Shengeza High School had the honor of welcoming Senzo Masinga along with his siblings, Nomkhosi and Manqoba, as they visited the school for a meaningful and touching gesture. In celebration of Senzo’s birthday, and in a special tribute to their late mother who was a dedicated nurse, the Masinga siblings donated sanitary pads and roll-on deodorants to our school.
This act of kindness serves as a reminder of the lasting impact that caring individuals can have on their community, especially when done in remembrance of loved ones. Senzo’s initiative not only benefits our learners but also highlights the importance of paying it forward and supporting one another.
